The MOWAs have been launched to celebrate the companies within our eco-system that are adapting, evolving and innovating to cater for the demands of today's consumer. The six award categories recognise excellence in the market, acknowledge those embracing the evolving commerce landscape and building new brands, solutions, campaigns, technologies or platforms that are enabling change. Whether you are an established brand or retailer who has managed to reinvent your strategy to stay relevant, an innovative and disruptive start-up or a genius solution solving today's challenges, the MOWAs want to hear from you.

Retail Re-invented

This award is for an established brand or retailer who has been brave enough to re-invent the wheel and has seen positive results for doing so. The judges are looking for an innovative or adaptive strategy that is answering the needs and wants of today’s consumers. Perhaps you changed the perception of your brand, found a new way to communicate with customer or adopted a new technology that completely changed the shopping experience.

Killer Campaign

For this award, we are looking to recognise the BEST advertising or marketing campaign of 2018. To be eligible, this must be a campaign that took place within this calendar year. It can be a marketing, advertising or branding campaign, delivered by an agency, brand, retailer or any other relevant organisation. Judges will be looking for the results of the campaign against the objectives, so applications should consider this.

Best Retail Solution

Want to be considered the best among the rest? This category is exclusively for solution providers who have a technology or platform they feel is worthy of this title. Do you feel your solution will change the future landscape of commerce? Or compliment the millennial customer journey? Is it clear that retailers should all be choosing you? There is no specification of what makes the best solution but judges are looking for uniqueness, innovation and impact.

Millennial Commerce-Enabler

This award is open to any organisation that feels their solution, tech or platform is or will be enabling the future of commerce. To be recognised for having a positive impact on the industry. Perhaps you have a solution in payments, e-commerce, delivery, retail or any other industry pillar within the wider Millennial 20/20 scope. For this category judges are looking for uniqueness, innovation and impact, as well as results from application of this enabler.

Millennial Brand 2017

We are on the look-out for this year’s Millennial Brand! This award is to recognise excellence from brands thriving in the age of the digital, “millennial” mindset of consumers. Perhaps you’ve been part of a new brand-launch, led a marketing team which has transformed brand perspective or developed a new disruptive direct-to-consumer business model. The judges will be looking for a brand which is relevant and relatable to today’s consumer and experiencing fast growth in their product category.

Eco-System Star of the Year

This award is for an accelerator, incubator or VC who has made the biggest impact on our industry, by supporting the start-up ecosystem. Judges want to know why you are worthy of this award - have you found the next big thing or are you providing an environment for innovation to thrive? Perhaps you are in a startup and want to nominate your investor? Entries will be judged on the ability to show results and impact on the ecosystem.

Judges will be looking for excellence in each category, they are expecting to see or recognize a product/solution that will change the way we do business today or in the near-future. Every entry made will be passed onto our independent judging panel and all results will be collated by Millennial 20/20.

What you need to know

The Awards are open to any organisation who wishes to enter and more than one category may be entered by the same company. All sponsors and exhibitors of Millennial 20/20 London can submit their entry free of charge. All other entries will be charged at £150 GBP per entry. The winners will be announced and presented with their awards before the Cocktail Reception.

Shortlisted entries will be announced at least 3 weeks before the Summit *

* Please note that all shortlisted entries will need to buy at least one ticket to the Summit, in order to attend the ceremony.

How to enter

To enter the awards you will need to complete payment and submit the submission form before the closing date – Friday 2nd February. The form will ask you for company details, as well as a comprehensive overview of why you feel the award should be yours! Submissions are capped at 500 words so please do take your time in filling out.

The MOWA shortlist will be announced on Friday 24th February.

  1. The Closing Date for entries is Friday 2nd February, unless extensions are approved by Millennial 20/20
  2. Entry submissions will only be seen by the M20/20 team and chosen judging panel – they will not be shared publicly however please note the title of the product, solution or promoted brand used for entry may be announced and promoted unless otherwise stated
  3. Entries will be judged by a panel of independent judges, and M20/20 will be responsible for collating scores to determine winners in each category
  4. No refunds of entry fees will be available under any circumstances
  5. The shortlist will be announced at least 3 weeks before the Summit, and each company will be contacted to inform them
  6. If your entry is shortlisted, you must buy at least one ticket to ensure a company representative is there to receive the award, should you win. This means you must be available to travel to Singapore for the 25th October, and be able to pay costs for own travel, accommodation and any visas required
  7. Shortlisted companies will be promoted on our website and in event promotional materials
  8. Winners will not be announced until the award ceremony, at Millennial 20/20 London
  9. All entrants must be aged 18 or over
