The Old Truman Brewery, London
13th - 14th March 2018

Brand authenticity, trust, convenience, experiential, on-demand, mobile, online and personalised digital interactions are all values held dearly by today's customers. Millennial 20/20 Summits showcase disruptive retailers, innovative brand campaigns, unique start-ups and solutions that are bringing the future of retail, marketing and commerce to life.

The MOWAs have been launched to celebrate the companies within our eco-system that are adapting, evolving and innovating to cater for the demands of today's consumer. The six award categories recognise excellence in the market, acknowledge those embracing the evolving commerce landscape and building new brands, solutions, campaigns, technologies or platforms that are enabling change. Whether you are an established brand or retailer who has managed to reinvent your strategy to stay relevant, an innovative and disruptive start-up or a genius solution solving today's challenges, the MOWAs want to hear from you.

MOWA Categories

Retail Re-invented

This award is for an established brand or retailer who has been brave enough to re-invent the wheel and has seen positive results for doing so. The judges are looking for an innovative or adaptive strategy that is answering the needs and wants of today’s consumers. Perhaps you delivered personalisation at scale across multiple channels, launched new in-store experiences, experimented with new marketing strategies or adopted a new technology, such as AI or Voice, that completely changed the customer experience.

Killer Campaign

For this award, we are looking to recognise the BEST advertising or marketing campaign of 2018. To be eligible, this must be a campaign that took place within this calendar year. It can be a marketing, advertising or branding campaign, delivered by an agency, brand, retailer, content or influencer marketing platform or any other relevant organisation. Judges will be looking for the results of the campaign against the objectives, so applications should consider this.

Best Retail Solution

Want to be considered the best among the rest? This category is exclusively for solution providers who have a technology or platform they feel is worthy of this title. Do you feel your solution will change the future landscape of retail, marketing and commerce? Or compliment the customer journey? Is it clear that retailers should all be choosing you? There is no specification of what makes the best solution but judges are looking for uniqueness, innovation and result-driven success.

Innovative Commerce-Enabler

To be recognised for having a positive impact on the industry. Perhaps you have a solution in artificial intelligence, voice, payments, e-commerce, delivery, retail, social, video, mobile, blockchain or VR, AR. Disruptive Brand 2018

We are on the look-out for this year’s most disruptive consumer brand! This award is to recognise excellence from brands thriving in the age of the digital. Perhaps you’ve been part of a new brand-launch, led a marketing team which has transformed brand perspective or developed a new disruptive direct-to-consumer business model. The judges will be looking for a brand which is relevant and relatable to today’s consumer and experiencing fast growth in their product category.

Eco-System Star of the Year

This award is for an accelerator, incubator or VC who has made the biggest impact in our industry, by supporting the retail and marketing tech ecosystem. Judges want to know why you are worthy of this award - have you found the next big thing or are you providing an environment for innovation to thrive? Perhaps you are in a startup and want to nominate your investor? Or a brand or retailer that is driving innovation through retail and marketing partnerships. Entries will be judged on the ability to show results and impact on the ecosystem.

Judges will be looking for excellence in each category, they are expecting to see or recognize a product/solution that will change the way we do business today or in the near-future. Every entry made will be passed onto our independent judging panel and all results will be collated by Millennial 20/20.
